Sony, Liverpool

RMF were delighted to have been appointed as sole raised flooring contractor on yet another office relocation project Following a 27 year term at Wavertree Technology park, Sony’s Playstation division decided to relocate to Liverpool City centre. The project involved the re-fit of Liverpool’s Echo building following the newspaper’s departure. The building has since been renamed Echo Place and Sony stated that their new Liverpool office will be ‘fantastic place to create, collaborate, connect and have fun’

RMF completed the supply and installation of new medium grade raised access floor onto a new steel pedestal under structure in areas where finishes were not applied. RMF completed the supply and installation of the RMF Eco range second user raised floor panels onto new steel pedestal under structure, panels were screwed down to take floor finishes. RMF installed 38mm GIFA to all toilet areas onto a steel pedestal under structure. We supplied and installed Heavy grade factory bonded vinyl raised access floor panels into the comms room areas onto a new steel pedestal under structure which was adhesive fixed only.

As you can see the building which will house over 500 local employees looks set to be an incredible workspace that truly illustrates the fun factor of the brand and providing spaces for collaboration and co-working.

We hope the Sony Playstation team are very happy with their new HQ and we were proud to assist on the delivery of such an iconic workplace.
