Collaborative workspace re-fit

RMF handled a particularly complex installation in partnership with a major UK contractor on behalf of their client an industry leading collaborative workplace provider.

RMF’s scope of works briefly included:

Level 1:

  • 511 m2 of modifications to existing raised flooring, retaining existing pedestals and lowered to allow for a new timber floor finish.
  • 9m2 of new anti-static comms room raised flooring with integrated finish
  • 18 m2 of modifications to existing raised flooring, retaining existing pedestals and lowered to allow for ceramic tile finish
  • 50 m2 of modifications to existing raised flooring, retaining existing pedestals and lowered to allow for new vinyl floor finish
  • 18 m2 of tanking and bunding
  • 770 m2 of de-rocking of existing raised floor
  • 770 m2 of underfloor cleaning
  • 620 m2 worth of screwing down of raised floor to areas with ply finish
  • 27 cuts in existing raised floor to take new grommets/floor boxes

Level 2:

  • 514 m2 of modifications to existing raised flooring, retaining existing pedestals and lowered to allow for a new timber floor finish.
  • 19m2 of new anti-static comms room raised flooring with integrated finish
  • 24 m2 of modifications to existing raised flooring, retaining existing pedestals and lowered to allow for ceramic tile finish
  • 34 m2 of modifications to existing raised flooring, retaining existing pedestals and lowered to allow for new vinyl floor finish
  • 24 m2 of tanking and bunding
  • 762 m2 of de-rocking of existing raised floor
  • 762 m2 of underfloor cleaning
  • 610 m2 worth of screwing down of raised floor to areas with ply finish
  • 152 m2 of cuts for slab to slab partitions
  • 25 cuts in existing raised floor to take new grommets/floor boxes

It is worth noting that slab to slab partitions are typically specified by an architect to improve acoustic performance within separate office space, this is where the partitions run from sub floor to ceiling rather than going on top of the raised floor.

As you can see from the below images the space looks fantastic and the client was delighted with the high end and chic finish.
